Craig Lee...Found!

Craig Lee's picture tumbled out of a stack of photos I was sorting through last night. It completes the alternate set of Bags photobooth shots (see below) we took for the back of the original Dangerhouse 7" back in 1978. At the bottom of this entry I've posted the alternate photos with the actual Dangerhouse sleeve for comparison.

This record (Survive b/w Babylonian Gorgon) has been out of print for over twenty years and has just been re-released on Artifix Records . If you click on the Artifix link and go to their news page, you'll see a picture of Dix Denney holding the record...YEY!

You should be able to find it in your local punk record store and it will also be available by mail order soon.

Hey Alice,

Cool photo of Craig!..do you have any recollection of the amazing cover photo session for the Survive 7 inch taken by M.Nissen?.It is a spooky shot (the darkness around you and your brightly lit features... catlike eyes and surprised look) and the most popular and accesible BAGS image. It should be sold on patches, tees.Any stories on that?,where it was done?,under what influences, etc. You should have an interview with Melanie for your cool new "Women in punk" section..I enjoyed reading your interview with your friend Mrs.Lens.

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid my memory of the Survive cover photo session is a bit hazy...um, make that non-existent. I honestly can't recall any of the details. I am going to try to get in touch with Melanie Nissen for an interview but I can't make any guarantees that she will have the time to respond. Let's hope so!
